Spring Recital - He Is Risen!

"He is not here: For he is risen, as he said.  Come, see the place where the Lord lay."  Matthew 28:6

"But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you,

he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies

by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."

Romans 8:11

Such power God's people have within them - the same spirit that raised Christ from dead!  This is certainly reason to praise our RISEN LORD and that was our theme at our annual spring recital.
The Prelude began with a medley of songs on the Cross, another on the Resurrection and concluded with, "I Know that my Redeemer Liveth".
After a short meditation on the power of the resurrection, Joella's students continued the program, each sharing a piece they worked hard to perfect!

My violin students each played a solo piece while I accompanied them on the piano.  They also played several selections as a group.

After a piano duet by two of my students, each of my piano students played a solo.

We concluded the program by asking a few other musician's in the crowd to join us in playing "Christ Arose" while the congregation sang.

"That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;  If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead."
Philippians 3:10-11

The power of the Resurrection seems even more real to me since my trip to Israel last Fall.
Praise God the tomb is empty!!!
